The Sodbury Yarn Over round up

May 28, 2026

Hello all! How are you all doing in this hot hot weather?

I’ve no idea where has the time gone, I can’t believe it’s been a month since the Sodbury Yarn Over – we had an amazing time! I’ve lots to update you on between then and now, gorgeous new products at the shop, events that are coming up. I’m just starting to get back on top of things as I had loads of stuff to do at home too over the last couple of weeks (glad I wasn’t decorating the living room this week!). These things all land at once,  life’s like that isn’t it, I’m sure just to keep me on my toes!

I will just start with our yarn festival, The Sodbury Yarn Over – and a massive thank you to everyone who came and supported us, it was a truly wonderful weekend.  The feedback this year has been exceptional, which is amazing! Thank you to all the volunteers who help us make it so special. We have lots of photos on our main page here, so do take a look at them when you get a chance – you may even spot yourself! We even made the Gazette newspaper and Greatest Hits radio – Deb and I felt like superstars.

The alpacas from Oak View Alpaca’s were once again the stars of the weekend, they had lots of attention.

If you wanted to try one of the free patterns, they are still available on the website, just go to Patterns, and you’ll find this year’s patterns. We had the lovely Simple Pine Cone Hat by Paddyphernalia and the cutest Wood Anemone Fingerless Mitts from Thread and Yarn.

Planning has already started for 2027, so put the 10th & 11th in your diary and save the date!

Here’s a few of our favourite photos from the weekend.
